Earrings, 'Heart Fall'

Ploy Intha is proud to present these earrings for they are completed hand-crafted in the tradition of Thai silver art. These earrings make for a meaningful present to be treasured eternally. As an expert silversmith herself, Ploy Intha details her hand-crafting process: "An alloy, made of silver, copper and charcoal is melted in the forge and cast into a terracotta disc. Once the silver slab has solidified it is quickly removed from this disc to be beaten and stretched into long strings. These strings are cut and coiled into little pikuns, soldered to a sturdier structure. Little hearts and hooks are then attached to the whole, and the pair obtained is washed into a solution generally composed of tamarind, rinsed in water, dried and filed with a small brass brush to be finally polished with a cloth." .925 silver.
